Rick Bottoms, FNP-C, joined Midwest Medical Specialists in April 2024. He is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners, Kansas City Dermatological Society, and Kansas City Medical Society.
Outside of work, Rick enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters and dog. He enjoys working around the house and in the yard, being outdoors, and watching all things Mizzou.

- Rick has a decade of dermatology experience, with a particular interest in skin cancer prevention, detection and treatment, along with fundamental dermatologic care like acne, psoriasis, eczema and other skin conditions.
- Skilled in performing shave and punch biopsies, excisions and cryotherapy, under the supervision of Dr. Frank Koranda, Dr. Colleen Reisz and Dr. Joseph Schneider.

Office
Dr. Eric C. Christensen, joined Midwest Medical Specialists in July of 1995. He grew up in Concordia, Kansas, where he spent his summer months working on a farm. While studying at Kansas State, he was awarded a foreign language scholarship, allowing him the opportunity to study at the Justus-Liebig University in Geissen, Germany. He has traveled extensively in Europe, and still maintains correspondence with acquaintances he made during years of studies overseas.

Clinical Interests
Dr. Christensen focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of general and pediatric ENT disorders, including nasal obstruction, chronic sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, chronic tonsillitis and otitis media, thyroid disorders, obstructive sleep apnea, head and neck tumors, hearing loss and balance disorders.
Office
Jill S. Spencer, MD, joined MMS in August, 2014. She practices medical, pediatric, and some surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Spencer grew up in Camdenton, Missouri, went to undergraduate and medical school at UMKC, and she completed her dermatology residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock medical center before moving back to Kansas City. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. Her husband is an internal medicine physician practicing in Liberty.
