These apps are located on the Apple App store and the Google Play store.

1. Widex - Zen - This app has numerous sounds as well as fractal music. It also has an education section about tinnitus and management/coping skills/techniques to try.
2. Oticon Tinnitus - This app has nunerous sounds. It also has an education section covering the same/similar topics as the Widex app.
3. ReSound Relief - This app has numerous sounds. Like the others it has an educational section covering the same/ similar topics as the other apps.

During your waking hours find a sound from the app that you can easily ignore. Use it for a minimum of 10 minutes at a time up to several hours at a time depending on your activities that day.

• Turn it up so that you can hear the sound, but it does not interfere with conversatlons.
• Use it any time except when driving or watching TV.
• The sound therapy will put your brain into a more relaxed mode to learn to ignore the tinnitus.

Once you’ve found the sound to ignore you can also use it at night when you sleep. Play it through either the phone speakers or an external BT speaker. Have the volume loud enough so you can hear it but not so loud as to disturb others in the room sleeping.

When using it consistently at night and letting it play all night patients tend to see relief in a shorter time. When used consistently, many patients find significant relief of the annoyance and awareness of the tinnitus their brain is making. Usually, patients report significant improvement in managing their tinnitus this way after 6-9 months.
